Definition of Mother’s Day: A day of the year (second Sunday in May) on which mothers are honored by their children.
Let’s take this special day to honor our moms. It’s a day that mom deserves to hear praise from her children, feel loved and honored by her family! Here are several places offering moms specials. We have been to several of these great places below, but this year my wonderful husband booked a getaway for my mom and myself to Meadowmere Resort in Ogunquit, Maine. I am so excited. We’ve been here repeatedly and we love this location. The resort is only 1/2 mile to the scenic Marginal Way, it’s close to Kittery for shopping and there are so many restaurants close by. Meadowmere has a Roman Spa to soak in, an indoor pool, an outdoor jacuzzi. They also have a movie theater and more. With their price close to the $100 mark, I say they’re a great pick for many moms this weekend. I just called and there are still some rooms available so, maybe I’ll see you there!!!

This is something I have always wanted to do, I’m most definitely going to have to look into this for next year because my hubby already booked me a getaway for this year (so I’m not complaining!) I’ve heard wonderful reviews. Take advantage of this if you can!

I went here with my mom for a Mother’s Day weekend getaway last year. The Inn is amazing. The buffet at their restaurant, Old Salt, was none like I’ve ever seen. If you can ever get away for Mother’s Day or any other time, Saybrook Inn is a must to add to your list. They even have a Lighthouse Suite! Saybrook Point Inn & Spa is one of our favorite places to go!
