A new month, means new things to focus on to stock up on or just to enjoy….

This list is helpful to know when the best time to buy different foods and other products. It all makes sense once you start reading it. Each month there will be certain foods that will have a better sale mark on them. The manufactures ,typically in these months, will have better coupons on these products. Putting the best sale and higher value coupon scenario together gives us some rock bottom prices! Use this as a resource and add to it when you see your favorite home items hit the best price during the year! Each month we’re in I”ll point out extra deals for you to find:

Here’s what I’m looking for in March:

  1. It’s frozen food month, so I’ll be getting lots of deals on frozen foods especially frozen veggies. Hannaford and other stores often have extra in-store deals they offer such as buy $10 of certain frozen foods, get a $3.00 off your next shopping! Sales, with coupons with extra in store incentives brings great savings!
  2. Deals on bananas, blood oranges, rhubarb, pineapple, spring onions, cabbage,carrots,broccoli artichokes, brussel sprouts, turnips.
  3. Cod, haddock, sole, salmon and other fish.
  4. Corn beef brisket.
  5. Because Easter is in April, we’ll find deals on Easter candy, hams, lamb, eggs, coconut, asparagus, horseradish. Jewish and Passover food items.
  6. Daylight savings is this month, we may see more deals on batteries, smoke detectors and carbon monoxide monitors.
  7. Coats, sweaters and winter apparel.
  8. Skiing and snowboarding are nearing its end. You’re bound to find good deals on equipment, boots and accessories. Look for season pass skiing discount tickets this month too that will allow you to finish the season this year and be good for next season.
  9. Jewelry tends to go down in price this month. With February being very popular in sales for jewelers. During non-gift giving months, you’ll have a little more room for negotiating.
  10. Best luggage prices can be found in March.
  11. Great sales are starting on gardening items.
  • January: New Years Resolutions bring us sales and higher value coupons to foods like Special K, Kashi, South Beach Diet, Lean Cuisine. Spaghetti sauces, packaged mixes. Then we have Super bowl Sunday and you’ll see sales and coupons out for snacks, soda, chips, dips, wings. It’s winter and we need more medicine so you’ll see cold and flu medicines, vitamins, chaptick.
  • February: Canned items such as chicken and tuna, pie fillings. Oatmeal, waffles, syrup. Chinese New Year brings us deals on teriyaki sauce, noodles, soy sauce. Grab Valentine Day clearance and deals on KY lubricant.
  • March: Frozen Food month with bring lots of veggies close to $0 in price. It’s St Patrick’s Day grab a few extra corn beef briskets and freeze them. You won’t see them this low in price again the rest of the year.
  • April: Easter: Ham, sausage, eggs, some baking needs and spices. Spring cleaning=cleaning products go on sale, paper towels
  • May: Condiments: ketchup, marinades, BBQ sauce, pickles, chips, dips, cans of soda for Memorial Day, paper plates, napkins, cups etc., Bug spray, Raid
  • June and July: Hot dogs, hamburg, ice cream, Italian Ice, Cool Whip, cheese, butter , charcoal , chips, dips, soda, pasta, pasta salad, condiments, soda deals for 4th of July, Lemonade, Crystal Light.
  • July: Back to school sales begin…..clearance on toys to make room for the new Christmas stock
  • August: School supplies, disinfectant, Purell, clearance on sunscreen, insect repellent
  • September: Fall cleaning=cleaning products, waffles, pancake mix, pudding/jello cups, sandwich meat, school snacks, Nabisco items, tissues
  • October: Lots of baking items, pumpkin, evaporated mild, condensed milk
  • November and December: Most baking items, cake mixes, brownies, bread mixes, nuts, coconut, baking chips, gravies, frozen pies, pie crust, shrimp rings, ham, turkey, sausage rolls, marshmallows cans of pumpkin.

Always remember after holiday and end of season clearances! This is where you can score on soaps, candles, tin foil, baggies. All because they may have a snowflake or Santa hat on it. They’ll mark it down and then you’ll use a coupons and in the end you’ll get AMAZING DEALS!!!!
