Easter Happenings Throughout the Month

This post details the many fun Easter activities happening throughout March!  From an Egg Hunt at Charmingfare Farm to Easter Brunch in the Rainforest, there is truly something to delight every child!  When looking for Easter events, remember to check with your town’s recreation department.  Many towns will host FREE Easter Egg Hunts, Easter Bunny Photo Opportunities, and Easter Coloring Contests (some towns will even send your child personalized letters from the Easter Bunny)!  To make life a littler easier for all of us NH.com has created an Easter Egg Hunt Map.  Just click on the egg markers on their map to find out about New Hampshire Town Egg Hunts.

Easter HUnt

  • March 8, 2013: The Easter Bunny is going to hop into our local malls.  The Easter Bunny will be available to take pictures with you and your little ones.
  • March 9, 2013: The Kidgits Kid’s Club will be hosting a visit with the Easter Bunny at the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester.  Your child will be able to have a snack of granola bars and juice boxes while spending some time with his furry Easter friend.  If you are not a member of the Kidgits Kid’s Club you will be able to sign up at this event.  There is an annual membership fee of $5.
  • March 9, 2013: The Kidgits Kid’s Club will host an Easter Bunny Breakfast at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, NH.  Kidgits Club members can join the bunny for breakfast snacks, Easter crafts and a special Kidgits Easter Bucket (while supplies last)!  There will also be a special appearance by the bunny’s great friend – the Chick fil A Cow and a donut-deocorating activity with Dunkin Donuts.  If you are not a member of the Kidgits Kid’s Club you will be able to sign up at this event.  There is an annual membership fee of $5.
  • March 10, 2013: The American Girl Store in Natick is hosting an American Girl Bunny Brunch.  You and your girl can share a springtime brunch and then pose for a photo with Natick Mall’s Bunny in the spring garden. A 5×7 photo to take home is included.  Advanced Registration is required.
  • March 12, 2013: The Music Hall presents Guess How Much I Love You.
  • March 13, 2013: For some more bunny-themed fun you can take your child to Chunky’s Cinema and Pub’s Little Lunch Date’s showing of Hop.  Chunky’s Little Lunch Date offers FREE admission to Hop for children and their caregivers. 
  • March 16, 2013: The Kidgits Kid’s club will host an Easter Celebration at the Rockingham Mall in Salem, NH.  Kidgits members will enjoy a snack, craft and giveaways.  The Easter Bunny will also hop in for a visit and teach the kids the bunny hop prior to heading off to his photo spot at 9:45.
  • March 17, 2013: The Simon mall in partnership with AbilityPath.org presents the Caring Bunny at the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester.  The Caring Bunny is an opportunity for special needs children and their families to visit with the Easter Bunny before the mall opens.
  • March 23, 2013: The NH Sportsplex and the MOMS Club of Bedford, NH are hosting their 5th Annual Our Promise To Nicholas Easter Egg Hunt.  The event is a fundraiser for Batten Disease and 100% of the proceeds go to the cause.  There will be an Egg Hunt, exhibitors, entertainment, raffles and more!
  • March 23, 2013: The Rainforest Cafe in Burlington, MA presents Cha! Cha!’s Egg-cellent Easter Adventure.  On Saturday March 23rd from 8:00-10:00am you can join Cha! Cha! the frog and the rest of the animals at the Rainforest Cafe for a breakfast buffet, Easter egg hunt, free goodie bags for the kids, a free Easter basket raffle and appearances from the Easter Bunny and Cha! Cha!  Advance registration is required.
  • March 23, 2013: Pottery Barn Kids Presents a Free Peter Rabbit Story Time where children will hear Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit and then get to make bunny ears.
  • March 23, 24, and 30, 2013: Charmingfare Farm’s Egg-Citing Easter Egg Hunt will be held on March 23, 24 and 30.  “A special egg hunt area will be set-up at the farm to allow children ages 2-12 to search for eggs.  Each egg contains candy or a small gift.”  Either before or after the egg hunt you can take advantage of Charmingfare Farm’s other fun activities such as visiting the animals, taking a picture with the Easter Bunny and going on a tractor train ride that will take you to the “Secret Egg-Stra Egg” giveaway location where each child will receive a special egg prize.  NH Daily Deal is currently offer a deal for Charmingfare Farm’s Easter Egg Hunt. This deal offers one admission to Charmingfare Farm for their Easter Egg Hunt for $10 (Value is $17).
  • March 29, 2013: Cowabunga’s Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt
  • March 29-30, 2013: For Kids Who Cook is offering and Easter Edition of their cooking classes.  Young chefs ages 3-5 will have fun creating chocolate birds nests to fill with the Easter candies; jelly beans and marshmallow chicks.
  • March 30, 2013: Amesbury Sports Park is hosting Egg Drop Palooza where there will be 30,000 eggs full of treats and toys, helicopter rides, pony rides, Bunny Hop dance-off, face painting, photos with the Easter Bunny and live performances.
  • March 30, 2013: Stone Zoo presents Bunny Bonanzoo! Children can participate in holiday games, crafts and other fun surprises.  Families can also visit with and have the photo taken with the Easter Bunny.  Guests may take photos with their own camera for a suggested donation of $5.
  • April 1, 2013: The Seacoast Science Center will be hosting an Ocean Commotion Easter Egg Hunt!  Ocean Commotion is an active, indoor program that teaches about nature through movement, music, stories and games and is for children ages 1-5 and their caregivers.
