I’ve talked about ideas for Dinosaur and Princess Easter Baskets in the last week but haven’t put up a post about Christ-Centered Easter Baskets yet! So here it is…
I love making my kids smile with different themes and fun goodies in their Easter baskets but I honestly believe that nothing is more important than teaching them the Easter story and reminding them that Christ is at the center of the holiday. Below you’ll find some of my favorite toys, dvd’s and books to help keep Christ in Easter.
Resurrection Eggs: Resurrection Eggs are my absolute favorite way to help my kids learn the Easter story. Resurrection Eggs are a tactile and visual way to guide children from Holy Week all the way through Christ’s Resurrection and Easter morning (my kids LOVE them!). You can purchase a set of Resurrection Eggs (linked below) or make your own. My children’s religion teacher made them a set of Resurrection Eggs that we love! This set (that we use constantly during Lent) is made up of 12 plastic Easter eggs. Each egg has a small item inside of it that symbolizes a part of Jesus’ story and relates directly to a scriptural reading. There are many tutorials online with instructions on how to make this set of 12 Resurrection Eggs.
