The weather is looking pretty good for most of this week and it is even expected to get up to 76 on Wednesday! Warm weather (really any weather) makes me think about ice cream, which is why I am very happy that Mack’s Ice Cream Stand in Londonderry is opening today.
My children have been anticipating the opening of Mack’s Ice Cream Stand since it closed in September. Whenever we drive by Mack’s I hear little voices asking “is it open yet?” Neither frigid cold nor snow covered homes diminish my children’s love of ice cream. They must get that from me. A favorite in my home is Richardson’s Crunch-o-Saurus Ice Cream. This dinosaur/ice cream combo was a HUGE hit last summer with my crew (especially with my little guy). Aside from the ice cream, the kids really enjoy sitting by Mack’s pond where they can watch fish, birds, turtles and the rest of the pond’s wildlife while they enjoy their treat.
Mack’s Ice Cream Stand is open from April through mid-September and serves Richardson’s Ice Cream. You can enjoy your ice cream at one of Mack’s brightly painted picnic tables (they are fun and very kid-friendly) or over by their pond, watching the wildlife.
