Memorial Day Weekend Events

Here’s a look at some things going on this Memorial Day Weekend (and some are free)!

Museums:

  • Boston Museum of Fine Arts: The Museum of Fine Arts will open its doors for free from May 25-27th to the public for its Free Memorial Day Community Weekend.
  • Children’s Museum of New Hampshire: BAE Systems is sponsoring a Military Appreciation Weekend during Memorial Day Weekend!  The families of military service members will be able to take advantage of free admission to the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire.  You will be asked to present your military ID to receive free admission.
  • Seacoast Science Center: Thanks to generous funding from BAE Systems, Inc., the Science Center offers free admission for all military personnel, veterans, and up to five family members. Simply show your ID at the admissions desk.

Beaches:

  • You can take in the fireworks at Hampton Beach on Sunday, May 26th.

More Fun:

  • This Memorial Day Weekend, kids under the age of 13 cruise free on the historic M/S Mount Washington. Limit to two free children per adult. This offer will be available Saturday, Sunday and Monday (May 25, 26 and 27) from all ports. Also, veterans and military personnel pay only $10 on all daytime scenic cruises.
  • On Saturday night, May 25, join the Salute to Service Dinner-Dance Cruise on Lake Winnipesauke in honor of police officers, firefighters, EMTs, veterans and military personnel. The cruise is open to all and the departure is at 7 p.m. from Weirs Beach. Enjoy a special dinner cruise rate of $29 per person, and dance the night away to the popular “Club Soda Band.”
