New Spring Schedule at the Discovery Center (Plus Plans for a Playground!)

Concord, NH- The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center will be now open to the public Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from April through June.

For spring vacation – April 21 through May 3 – the Discovery Center will offer expanded hours: Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Discovery Center also has plans to build a new Science Playground on its northwest lawn, filled with engaging outdoor science and engineering activities for children and families. The Discovery Center has begun a Kickstarter campaign to fund water features in the playground; people can help by making a contribution on Kickstarter.com.

The Discovery Center is also seeking volunteers to help inspire and educate. Those seeking new adventures in life are encouraged to consider becoming part of the Center’s volunteer crew of guides, greeters, or to help in the office or science store.

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center features 21st century interactive exhibits on aviation, astronomy, Earth and space sciences, a state-of-the-art planetarium and a variety of science, technology, and engineering and mathematics programs.
