When my oldest daughter was an infant, her Mimi gave her the You’re My Little Love Bug book. It’s an adorable book that has built-in lights and a music box. It also has a spot for a picture of your child (aka your “little love bug”). As an infant, my daughter loved opening up the book to watch the lights and listen to the music. Now that she’s older, she likes having me read her the book and she LOVES looking at her baby picture. My other children also love reading this book. (My two-year-old is fascinated by the light and music show.) I wanted to share because I think this is a great Valentine’s Day gift for infants and toddlers! There are several different versions of this book, all put out by You’re My Little Love Bug’s author Heidi Weimer (links below). I am planning on getting Love From My Heart: To a Snuggly Cuddly Little Boy for my two-year-old boy and I Love You More Than… for my four-year-old girl. The best part is that these two books currently retail for roughly $5 each and qualify for free shipping (see details) on Amazon. I love being able to get the kids something to acknowledge Valentine’s Day that #1 is not candy and #2 won’t break the bank!
*Note: Love From My Heart: To a Snuggly Cuddly Little Boy doesn’t have a place for your child’s picture in the book (the girl Love From My Heart book doesn’t look like it has a spot for a picture either). My Solution: I am going to laminate a picture of my little guy and glue it onto the front or back cover. Having his very own book with his very own picture in it is a big deal!
