Morton Sea Salt Caramel Brownies

My family and I had the pleasure of hosting a 100th Birthday Party for the Morton Salt Girl.  To aid in our party planning, Morton Salt sent us several recipes to include this delicious one.  We made these delicious Sea Salt Caramel Brownies for the party.  Our guests (including the kids) devoured them!  I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Package of Fudge Brownie Mix
  • Eggs
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Water
  • 20 Pieces Individually Wrapped Caramels
  • 2 T Milk
  • 1 t Morton Coarse Sea Salt

Directions:

  • Heat Oven and prepare brownie mix as instructed on the box.  After placing brownie mix in an 8″ x 8″ baking pan, set pan aside.
  • Make caramel sauce as instructed below, then drizzle sauce on top of brownie batter.
  • Bake brownie batter as instructed on package.
  • Remove brownies from oven.
  • Sprinkle with Morton Coarse Sea Salt.
  • Cool brownies before cutting

Caramel Sauce:

Place unwrapped caramels and milk in a microwave safe bowl.  Microwave on high for 1 minute and then in 10 second intervals, until caramels are easily whisked.  Whisk until caramel mixture is smooth and thoroughly combined.
