The Lawn on D Presents Kids Really Rock!

The Lawn on D (420 D Street in South Boston) presents Kids Really Rock! on Sunday, October 5th from 11:00am – 6:00pm. This event is free and open to the public.

This family-friendly music and arts festival will offer an all-day roster of some of the country’s best musicians for families and kids, featuring Grammy winner and kids’ star Dan Zanes and Friends! Free healthy snacks, lemonade, juice and water will be available courtesy of Foodies in South Boston. Additional food and beverage options will be available for purchase.

The event will also feature a sock drive for Cradles to Crayons.  Families who are able, are asked to bring a pair of new socks to donate.

Other activities include:

• A Musical Playground featuring a drum circle, instrument petting zoo and interactive musical jams with local early childhood educators
• Hands-on art projects
• Stuffed animal portraits by local children’s illustrators and authors
• A Rock Star Photo Booth
• A Boston Fire Department “fire station” (complete with fire truck!)
• A Sock Skating Rink
