Celebrate World Giraffe Day at Franklin Park Zoo

Visit Franklin Park Zoo on Sunday, June 21st to celebrate the second annual World Giraffe Day! This event is appropriately being held on the longest day or night (depending on the hemisphere) of the year in honor of the tallest and longest-necked animal.

There are less than 80,000 giraffes remaining in the wild. Learn more about threats facing these animals, as well as ways that you can help support giraffe conservation efforts. There will also be zookeeper encounters throughout the day at 10:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – this is the perfect opportunity to ask questions and learn more about Beau and Jana, the giraffes at Franklin Park Zoo! We also invite you to get up close to these amazing animals during daily visits to the Giraffe Terrace.
