February Weekend Fun & Vacation- Feb 19-27

Are you thinking and looking for things to do over February vacation? I find winter and spring a bit more challenging to come up with things to do. I hope our list of ideas and events will be a good fit for you and your family.

I’d like to start by giving you a few sledding spots that are known to be pretty darn good.

Sledding Spots:
Amherst: Bragdon Farm Sledding Hill, Bedford: Benedictine Park, North Charlestown: Morningside Hang Gliding Park, Concord: White Park, Derry: Alexander Carr Park, Durham: Wagon Hill Farm, Manchester: Derryfield Country Club, Nashua: Roby Park

If you want to be spoiled and get pulled up the hill instead if having to walk, have fun tubing at Loon Mountain, MacIntyre and/or Pats Peak.

Unforgettable Experiences:
Let’s not forget the Ice Castles in Lincoln NH. They are open until March 5th. They’ve become quite popular. I think it’s a good idea to book your time online to ensure you can enjoy the exquisite structures. If you’re looking to make it an overnight, a few places I’d recommend are Common Man Inn, Indian Head Resort, Mountain Club On Loon. All are quite different and vary in price.

Mountain Club On Loon offers traditional rooms, studios with kitchens, suites with kitchens and grand suites as well. Our family has visited here in the past several times. With our size family, we appreciate having a kitchen and more living space. Often times, Mountain Club On Loon offer some super good deals. Take a peek at what specials they have going on presently. I’d also suggest signing up for their newsletter so you won’t miss any of their offers in the future.

For something out of the ordinary to do on vacation, it is a dream of mine to take a few of my kids, how about a dog sled ride?  What a totally amazing experience this would be!

Red Arrow Diner:
A 24/7 diner with a fun atmosphere. One night over vacation, we’re taking our kids to the Londonderry location at midnight for breakfast.  I may have to take a nap in the afternoon to ensure I stay awake, but that’s okay.

Legoland Discovery Center: Take a peek at Nicole’s review HERE and you’ll understand why they are listed under our unforgettable experiences!
