At the Movies

On the Big Screen:

  • AMC Theatres
    •  Bring Your Baby Matinees: On the first Tuesday of every month, AMC Theatres hosts Bring Your Baby Matinees.
    • Sensory Friendly Films: AMC Theatres, in partnership with the Autism Society, sponsors a sensory friendly film roughly once a month.  Please see their website for additional details.
  • Chunky’s Cinema and Pub
    •  Kid’s Night at Chunky’s: Receive a free kid’s meal with the purchase of one adult entree on Tuesday nights at Chunky’s.  The promotion starts at 5pm and is valid for evening shows only.  Admission is $7.50 for Evening Shows; $5.75 for Matinees and Children 4 and under are free (so bring your preschool crowd in on Tuesday evenings and they’ll be able to see a movie and eat for free)!
    • Little Lunch Dates: Every month Chunky’s offers a free showing of a children’s movie for parents/caregivers and their children.  During the movie lighting is slightly dimmed and admission is free (I love free)!  During the showing you can order lunch from their menu (see the link for menu items and food prices).  Because the movie admission is free, I usually let my children order off of Chunky’s menu (meal prices are between $5.00-$5.50) which absolutely makes their week!  Another big advantage to going to the “Little Lunch Dates” is that I don’t have to worry about making sure that my children stay absolutely quiet.  The theater is always full of parents with young children so a little noise is acceptable and understood!
  • O’Neil Cinemas
    •  Summer Kids Series: O’Neil Cinemas holds their Summer Kids’ Series on Mondays and Wednesdays througout the summer.  Children 11 and under are admitted for $1 and all others are admitted for $2.
