Waterville Valley Resort’s Skateboard Camp

Waterville Valley, N.H. – While Waterville Valley Resort’s ski slopes boast skiers and snowboarders in the winter months, its skate park is attracting skateboarders from all over the East Coast during the summer. The Waterville Valley Skateboard Camp is an exciting program for skateboarders, and is the only overnight camp in New Hampshire 100% run by skateboarders, for skateboarders.

“Waterville Valley Skateboard Camp is like no other camp in New England. We only take 36 campers per week and 18 on weekends to ensure the campers have individualized coaching. We pride ourselves on the close-knit community feel of our camp, which we achieve by maintaing a staff to camper ratio of 1:6,” says Camp Director, Luke Mathison.

For kids who like to skate there is no better way to shift gears from school to skateboarding. Waterville Valley’s Skate Park has undergone many changes over the past few years, including the addition of new ramps, hips, platforms, euro gaps, quarterpipes, banks and boxes. The park is ever changing, so campers can always look forward to something new each summer at camp.

All overnight campers stay in the Town Square Condominiums, centrally located in the heart of Town Square, Waterville Valley, NH, just footsteps away from the Skate Park, restaurants, shops, and Corcoran’s Pond. Each condo unit is chaperoned by a camp counselor and is fully equipped to comfortably house six campers and one overnight staff member per unit.

When campers want to take a break from skating, there is a plethora of other activities to try, including swimming, mountain biking, SUP (stand up paddleboarding), kayaking, tennis, and golf. All of these activities are all included in the Waterville Valley Freedom Pass, an activity pass included in all Waterville Valley lodging packages.

The Waterville Valley Skate Camp is designed to fit the needs of both parents and kids by offering various session choices as well as full day professional coaching and supervision. Campers can choose between the day camp option or overnight camp, and have the choice of weeklong camps or simply attend for a weekend. The camp welcomes boys and girls between ages 8 and 17 for day camp, and from 12 through 17 years old for overnight sessions.

Waterville Valley Skate Camp prides itself on only partnering with the best companies around, including Oakley, Circa Shoes, Creep Show Skateboards, Skullcandy, Red Bull Skateboarding, Volcom, Eastern Boarder, Bern, I.N.i Cooperative, Circa, DC Shoes, and Habitat. Waterville Valley Skate Camp sponsors send enough product for a huge end of session contest each week of Skate Camp, with some sponsors even sending out team riders to skate and hang with the campers.
