Free Community Workshop to Make Bowls for Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Manchester, NH – The public is invited to a free community workshop to hand craft ceramic bowls to donate to the New Horizon’s Empty Bowls fundraiser.
The date for the workshop to make bowls is Friday, September 5th, 2014 from 3-6PM at Studio 550 ART CENTER. This will be the last opportunity to make bowls for the New Horizon’s 2014 event.
The date of the Empty Bowls fundraiser for New Horizons is Sunday, October 5th from 11:30-1:30 at the Brookside Congregational Church.
All ages and experience levels are welcome. If you are a complete beginner, we will teach you how to coil build a bowl. If you are proficient at throwing, you are welcome to throw on the wheel. Donations are welcome to help cover the cost of materials and firing, but are optional.
This workshop is held on the first Friday of every month, from 3-6PM. From October-February the bowls created will be donated to the Nashua Empty Bowls event. From March-September, the bowls are donated the Manchester Empty Bowls event.
