Groove & Grow is a 45-minute early childhood music class for parents and children to participate in together, designed to target age-appropriate developmental skills for 2-4 year olds. Music activities will include singing, playing instruments and moving to music. The class is limited to 12 children so Marissa can get to know each child and tailor activities to their needs and developmental level. Her goal is to promote important social, emotional, and physical growth while having fun with music.
“This is the third year that we’ve offered an on-site music class at the Children’s Museum and it’s been very well received,” said Heidi Duncanson, Communications Director for the museum. “Music offers a totally different way to learn about sounds and language and patterns, and also bring out special skills that children may not know they have. It really fits with our mission of unlocking kids’ creative potential and helping build strong and joyful family relationships. There are a lot of smiles and laughter during this class!”
Groove & Grow classes at the Children’s Museum of NH will meet on Saturdays from 10 – 10:45 am from October 11 – December 13 (no classes on 10/25 or 11/22). The fee for this 8-session program is $80 museum members and $120 for non-members. The higher non-member fee includes parent and child admission into museum after each class. A sibling discount is available.
To register for this class, please call the Children’s Museum at during regular weekday business hours.
