Free Admission for Veterans and Military Families at McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center on Veterans Day

Concord, NH – The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center will be open on Tuesday, November 11 from 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. in honor of Veterans Day, and will provide free general admission to all veterans, active duty military, and military families thanks to a grant from Northeast Delta Dental. Festivities include a special exhibit, “Flags I Have Seen” by Photographer Eric Anderson, US Air Force veteran, retired state legislator and Bow NH selectman, as well as science activities for children and families. The “Tonight’s Sky” planetarium show on Veterans Day will take visitors around the world, to see the night sky over places – and dates – where audience members have been deployed.

The general public is also welcome to celebrate Veterans Day at the Discovery Center, with standard general admission costs of $10/adults, $9/students and seniors, $7/children 3-12, free for members and children ages 0-2; planetarium shows $5 additional.

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center features 21st century interactive exhibits on aviation, astronomy, Earth and space sciences, a state-of-the-art planetarium and a variety of science, technology, and engineering and mathematics programs.
