Irving Berlin’s White Christmas Review

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas Review

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas The Musical opened on December 16th bringing holiday cheer to Boston.  From the show’s opening right up until it’s snowy finale (it snows in the theatre!), Irving Berlin’s White Christmas brought to life on stage all of the joy and goodwill of the Christmas Season.  This is a show that will have you smiling and laughing throughout, leaving you with a warm and cozy feeling at the end.

I was very blessed to be able to attend opening night with my children.  We loved watching Bob Wallace, Phil Davis and the Haynes sister find love all while singing, dancing and navigating the world of show business.  The cast is incredibly talented and they inspired us all to want to sing along with them.

The show is about 2 1/2 hours in length with a 20 minute intermission.  This show has a family friendly story however, due to its length, I think that it is best suited for children ages 6 and up.

The Wang Theatre: The Wang Theatre is majestic and breathtaking.  It is grand in both beauty and size.  Please note that, due to its size and seating capacity that there is a bit of hustle and bustle at prior to the show, during intermission and after the show.  I did not have a problem maneuvering through the theatre with my young children as long as I held their hands.  🙂

Concessions: Concessions to include popcorn, candy, soft pretzels, water and soft drinks are available for purchase.  There is also a cash bar that is open prior to the show and during intermission.

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas will be playing at the Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre for 16 performances, from December 16th through the 28th. Presented by the Citi Performing Arts Center and MSG Entertainment, tickets are on now sale at the Citi Center box office, through www.citicenter.org or by calling 800-982-ARTS (2787).

I want to note that there was a red carpet event on Wednesday, December 17th featuring the cast of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.  Unfortunately, I was not able to attend on Wednesday night.  That said, you can see coverage of the red carpet at Mom’s Lifesavers!

I would like to thank Citi Performing Arts Center and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas for the opportunity to see this wonderful show.
