It’s the countdown for my Mother’s Day getaway! Last year myself, my mom and my daughter went to Meadowmere Resort in Ogunquit! We had a wonderful time and met many other moms and daughters who made this spot a Mother’s Day tradition…..and for good reason.
The resort has beautiful flower gardens, a Roman Spa (my favorite) an outdoor hot tub (another of my favorites) a great size indoor pool, an outdoor pool that they did open up last year on Mother’s Day, a sitting area with fireplace, TV, tables where couples were playing cards, warm cider, complimentary breakfast and so much more. Of course the location is wonderful! Close to shopping, the best restaurants, beaches, Marginal Way/Perkins’s Cove, Ogunquit Playhouse, art galleries and more! I love it here!
This year on Mother’s Day we’ll be going right next door to Jonathan’s Ogunquit Restaurant. I went here with my husband for our anniversary and enjoyed everything about it-the atmosphere, the portions and the entertainment. For Mother’s Day they are having a Mother’s Day buffet and specialty dinner. We’re going to try out the buffet. The assortment of food sounds amazing. We’ll be heading back that night for their concert night.
Yeah, you’ve got to check out their concert series they have all summer. Though it’s nice to stay for the weekend, it’s also a great date night for a beach walk late in the day, dinner and entertainment. I’ll be listing their concert series all summer. Moms and Dads, it’s great that we entertain our kids so much, but let’s not forget to give ourselves the time and spoiling we need for ourselves and for each other.
