My kids love airplanes and watching them land and take-off. They also love eating at restaurants (as do I). The Hampton Airfield Cafe brings these two things together to create a fun and unique dining experience for aspiring pilots and airplane enthusiasts alike. The Airfield Cafe, situated on Hampton Airfield, is owned and operated by the Aversano family. This quaint, family-owned cafe boasts a fun airplane decor and offers indoor and outdoor seating (so that you can get a really good view of those airplanes on nice days!). The Cafe is open from 7:00am-2:00pm, serving breakfast and lunch all day. While the Cafe does not have a Kids Menu, they do offer half orders and, from what I could see on their Menu, there are many kid-friendly meals.
When the weather cooperates you will be able to watch the planes land and take-off while you dine. In my opinion, this would keep even the most energetic of toddlers in their seats. If you are interested in watching the planes, make sure that you steer clear of rainy and very windy days. Also, you’re best bet to view more airplanes is during the weekend. As if airplane watching isn’t entertaining enough, the cafe has a toy box for the kids to plan with and a television with videos of airplanes flying.
