WATERVILLE VALLEY – For 23 years the holiday season has been ushered into the Valley by Santa on Dogsled and this year is no different. The Valley Snow Dogz pull Santa and his elves into Town Square amidst hundreds of onlookers after a long journey from the North Pole Santa at 3:30pm on Saturday, November, 30. After a quick hello and cheerful greeting Santa will head into the Nordic Center for some hot cocoa and cookies while he visits with every child waiting to see him until 7 pm. Each little visitor will receive a small gift from Santa and a candy treat. Hot cocoa and cookies will be available for purchase outside the Nordic Center while guests wait in line to visit the jolly old man.
There is a suggested donation of $5 per child or $10 per family with all proceeds benefiting the Whole Village Family Resource Center. A charitable foundation out of Plymouth, NH promoting individual and family well-being and providing centralized resources for the community. Waterville Valley area business have put together an assortment of great prizes for guests to bid on and will be raffled off on the 30th with proceeds from this raffle being donated to the Whole Village Family Resource Center, as well. When the clock strikes 7 pm, Santa will light the Christmas tree at the center of Town Square signaling the lighting of the first winter fireworks show over Corcoran Pond. Town Square shops and restaurants will be open throughout the event serving candies, drinks and dinner, as well as, toys, winter gear and souvenirs.
A big thank you goes out to all of the organizations and businesses donating time and services to this event including musher Lidia Dale-Mesaros and the Valley Snow Dogz, the Waterville Valley Public Safety Department, Whole Village Family Resource Center, the Town Square Merchants and last but not least, Santa Claus!

Guests can spend the whole day in Waterville Valley and participate in the Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports “Cold Turkey Plunge” into Corcoran Pond at 1 p.m, testing the cool waters and raising money to support winter athletic programs for persons with disabilities.
