Waterville Valley Happenings During February Vacation

 

Waterville Valley is another one of those fun NH spots that is on my list to take the family!  The Waterville Valley Resort opened a Tubing and Warming Center this winter and it sounds like a lot of fun.  You can read about the Tubing Center and Waterville Valley Resort below.  I’ve also included some information about the Margaret and H.A. Rey Center located in Waterville Valley.  They have quite a few free events that they are hosting this February Vacation week.  As always, I would love to know if you’ve been to Waterville Valley and what you think!

 

Waterville Valley Resort’s Tubing Center

Waterville Valley, NH –Waterville Valley Resort has opened its newest addition for the winter season, The Clubhouse: Tubing & Warming Center.  The Clubhouse opened over the holiday period and was a huge success, selling out nearly every hour it was open.  Word has spread quickly that The Clubhouse offers a fantastic off-mountain activity for families and has added a welcoming centralized place for friends and family to gather in the Valley.

The Clubhouse: Tubing & Warming Center is a snow tubing venue on a hill adjacent to the Waterville Valley Golf Course that features multiple dedicated tubing lanes and is located near the resort’s Town Square and lodges.  The Clubhouse offers assorted snacks and beverages, including beer, wine, hot chocolate, and chili, as well as an outdoor fire pit and pond skating. The Clubhouse serves as the perfect warming location for both tubing and Nordic skiing. Tickets for tubing are available at The Clubhouse for $10 per hour. Tubing is open throughout the season, weather dependent, on Fridays from 4 to 8 pm, Saturdays from 2 to 8 pm, and Sundays from 11 am to 3 pm, with additional hours during holiday periods.  Parking is very limited, so guests are encouraged to park at Town Square and take the Resort Shuttle, which has extended its hours to 8:30 pm on evenings when tubing is open.

Waterville Valley was designed and planned specifically as a self-contained, four seasons resort. In winter, Waterville Valley Resort features world-class alpine and Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, an indoor ice rink, and activities and events for the whole family. Margaret and H.A. Rey Center

Waterville Valley is also home to the Margaret and H.A. Rey Center, voted “Best Cure for Curiosity.”  The Rey Center has a bunch of free and paid programs for families during February Vacation Week.  The Rey Center, located on the second floor of Town Square in Waterville Valley and The Curious George Cottage on Noon Peak Road in Waterville Valley are open daily for vacation week, Feb. 15-22, 2014.
