I have fond memories of the Slip and Slide from my childhood which is why I wanted this to be the first idea in our Summer Vacation Challenge! This was my kids’ first experience with a slip and slide and it was an absolute hoot to watch them try to figure it out. I thought that the slip and slide would be relatively self-explanatory…but it was not! For about 45 minutes my kids could not seem to grasp the whole “slide” concept. They were cracking themselves up as they ran, jumped, skipped and army crawled down the Slip and Slide. (They were cracking their one year old sister up too!)
Eventually I got on the Slip and Slide to show the kids how it’s done! 😉 We still haven’t quite mastered the slide but we had a blast trying.
Did you notice that his bathing suit is on inside out and backwards? He dresses himself these days 🙂
