Veterans Day Events and Freebies

I want to thank all of our Veterans and Active Duty Military.  You are real-life heroes and role models for my children.  Thank you also to all of the military wives, husbands, children and parents out there.  I appreciate your sacrifice more than I can say.

Some of our local businesses are hosting some events and offering freebies in gratitude of all that you do.  Thank you to all of you who commented with freebies and deals to include in this post.  If I missed your comment or you know of anything that’s not listed please let me know. 🙂

• Buy One Get One Free Admission at CoCo Key on Tuesday, November 11th
• Free Admission to Veterans and Military Families at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center
• Veterans Receive Free Admission at the Franklin Park and Stone Zoos 

Restaurants: 

• Applebees is offering free meals to Veterans and Active Duty Military on November 11th.
• Chili’s is offering free meals to Veterans and Active Duty Military on November 11th.
• Veterans who dine at any Fratello’s or Homestead Restaurants on November 11th from 4:00pm to close will receive a Free Prime Rib Dinner.
• Friendly’s celebrates Veterans Day with free breakfast for Veterans and Active Military.
• Fudruckers is offering a free burger and fries to Veterans on Veterans Day.
• IHOP is offering Veterans and Active Duty Military free Red, White and Blue Pancakes from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
• McCormick and Schmick’s is offering a complimentary meal to Veterans on Sunday, November 9th.
• Red Robin is celebrating Veterans and Active Duty Service Members with a Free Tavern Double burger with Bottomless Steak Fries.
• Sal’s Pizza of Belmont is holding their 5th annual Veterans Day Appreciation Day. Any veteran that presents a Military ID or DD-214 will receive a Free 19″ XL Cheese Pizza.
• The Texas Roadhouse is honoring Veterans with a Free lunch from the Veterans Day Menu.
• The Tuscan Kitchen will be holding its annual Veterans Day event on November 11th for Veterans in Salem.  The Tuscan Kitchen will be closed to the general public from 11:30am-3:00pm.  Please call the Tuscan Kitchen to check on availability of this event.
• UNO locations across the country will be hosting a Dough Raiser to support the Fisher House Foundation, which helps provide military families housing close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury. On Veteran’s Day, UNO will donate 20% of all orders with a dough raiser ticket (see flyer below) to the Fisher House Foundation.  UNO will also be offering Veterans and Active Duty Military a BOGO meal offer.

• Veterans receive Free admission to any movie at any time at Chunky’s Cinema and Pub on November 11th.
• Chuck E. Cheese is giving Veterans and Active-Duty Military 20 free tokens upon a visit from Sunday, November 9, through Saturday, November 15. Military ID or proof of service is required, but no coupon is needed.
• The FunSpot is having a Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, November 8th from 11:00am-4:00pm.  The Military/Veterans and their immediate families will get free tokens, free coupons and a free All American Buffet under the Big Red and White Tent with burgers, dogs, salads and more!  The Buffet is limited to the first 500 guests.
• Jiffy Lube salutes our men and women in uniform on November 11th with a Free Jiffy Lube Signature Oil Change.
• Massage Envy is offering a free massage to Veterans and their spouses.
